Our Story
Our journey started in 2014 when we first met Craig Leeson, the now director and producer of “A Plastic Ocean”. He shared with us that he had the first scientific proof that when we eat ocean based seafood we ate micro plastics! As restauranteurs our world was blown apart! This was a message the world needed to hear. This spurred us to join him and help produce what would become the multi award wining documentary “A Plastic Ocean”.
We learnt that if you don’t know, you can’t care. Our film, and others, catalysed that knowledge and an incredible movement started to change the perception on the use of single use plastics; we called it a Wave of Change.
The problem with change is it’s hard to do. It costs time and money and when it comes to packaging and bamboo it often involves a supply chain dependent on China. We realized that to effectively enable change we could help mitigate these issues.
We are Hong Kong based and have built a team deeply knowledgeable on China based supply chains. We use our own restaurants and partners to R&D and test new products. We have in-house factory auditors and logistics specialists. We fight to reduce costs and partner with companies so we can help finance their supply chain and create growth cash flow at at time when they need their VC funds for marketing and customer acquisition.
